Students will learn all about how to use their own voice
– and have fun while doing it!

FIRST SESSION (7 – 9 years old)

During the class, students will learn both group and individual songs.

Students will pick individual songs to work on as solos and will learn what fits their individual voice types.

Students will work towards a performance (date/location TBA) every three months to showcase their progress.

Students will learn the fundamentals of how to use their voice and will have fun while learning to sing.

 

Class Structure

  • The first fifteen minutes will be breathwork and a calming group activity to get us ready to sing.
  • We will follow that into group chat to start the class off with a good mindset.
  • Following breathwork, we will begin some vocal warmup exercises.
  • Warmups will be the second fifteen minutes.
  • We will also learn about our voice and musicality.
  • And, we will also talk about our song choices, a singer’s mindset, performing, and confidence building.
  • Students will learn to connect the voice with different sensory tactical tools, games and visuals. We will all warm up both as a group and individually.
  • After warm ups, we will start group songs, solos, acting and practicing.
  • This will conclude the last few minutes of a typical class.

We will give each other the confidence to work and shine as the stars we are!

  1. Range: voice types from high to low
  2. Breathwork
  3. Phrasing
  4. Building Confidence
  5. What is Head/Chest/Mix voice?
  6. Diction and singing clearly
  7. Vocal Health
  8. Audition Techniques
  9. Stage Work: Learning to be the performer on stage by expressing themselves through acting

This is an automatically renewing monthly subscription for four (4) x 60-minute classes to be taken on the pre-scheduled Saturday dates from 2:00pm to 3:00pm with Junior Vocal Instructor Heidi Edder.
